Policies and Terms

The Port Lodge Motel is a family run business and OUR personal home. As such our main rule is very simple - Treat the place like your own and IF you wouldn't do something at home, PLEASE don't do it here. Aside from that we obviously need to have a few rules to live by.

Check-in & check-out

Our facility is technically open 24/7, BUT we normally keep the office open from 8AM - 10PM, with the reservation desk phone line open from 8AM - 10PM. Normal check-in begins at 3PM, with check-out (EXCEPT SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER) being 11 AM. September and October are extremely busy and we push the check-out time back to 10 AM. Late check-outs are sometimes possible (dependant on the time of year and availability of the room), BUT must be requested at least the night before departure is expected.

Pet Policy

The Port Lodge Motel is a pet-friendly facility. We allow ONE well mannered pet per room. The pet is NOT to be left alone in the room for extended time periods, and should be on a leash when outside the room. We do require a $25 (tax included) cleaning fee for each room with a pet. This is charged per stay. Persons renting rooms without notifying the front-desk of a pet will be asked to end their stay at the lodge immediately.

Reservation & Cancellations

At the Port Lodge Motel you will be required to have a valid credit card on file for each reservation being held in your name. No charges will be made prior to your arrival unless as a result in one of the policies listed below.

Our standard cancellation policy requires a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) notice before expected arrival. Anything less than 72 hours before expected arrival time will result in charges equal to the first night's stay. NO-SHOWS will result in the charge of the First Nights room charge.

Because of extreme demand ALL reservations that are made for August, September and October require that ANY Modifications or Cancellations be completed a minimum of fourteen days from expected arrival date. If the modifications are made less than 14 days before arrival, the FULL original charges will apply to the reservation.Early departures during August, September and October will NOT result in ANY refunded charges.
